Our Services
We provide the follow services:
NHS Sight Tests
This is the standard eye test you may be entitled to on the NHS, especially if:
-
You're aged 60 or over
-
You're housebound or unable to get to a high street optician
-
You receive certain benefits or have specific health conditions
Private Sight test
We also provide private sight tests if you do not qualify for an NHS sight test
What’s involved?
-
Checking your vision and prescription
-
Looking at the health of your eyes
-
Advising you on glasses, if needed
It’s usually done every 1–2 years and is designed to keep your eyesight and eye health in check.
CUES assessments (if criteria is met)
If you’re having a sudden issue with your eyes—like pain, redness, flashes, floaters, or sudden vision loss—you may be eligible for a CUES assessment, if the criteria are met.
What’s involved?
-
A thorough check focused on the problem you're having
-
Advice or treatment for the issue
-
Referral to a specialist, if needed
This is not a routine test—it's for when something’s wrong and needs urgent attention, but not quite an emergency and is covered by the NHS if the criteria is met. Someone will contact you to triage.
Emergency Appointments
If you are experiencing very serious symptoms—such as sudden, severe loss of vision, trauma to the eye, or signs of an eye infection—this may count as an emergency.
In these cases, we will:
-
Try to assess you as quickly as possible
-
Prioritise your appointment
-
Refer you immediately to hospital eye services if needed
